Purple Rain singer Prince died earlier today at 57.
His body was found at his Paisley Park studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He had an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois for a flu emergency on April 15th. He cancelled his shows in Atlanta because of his health concerns.
He’s one of the most iconic artist since his 1984’s Purple Rain , earning him the No. 1 album on Billboard 200. He has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.
Prince was also inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, the first year of his eligibility. He won seven Grammy Awards, Oscar and an Academy Award.
He was also known for his Love Symbol, to show protest against Warner Bros. in 1993, but he later changed it back to Prince in 2000.
