“Death. Not leaving a legacy. Being forgotten. Those are my greatest fears. The more lives I changed, the more I help… With that, I become more eternal,” shares Rickey.

So, how are you feeling about everything that’s happening right now?
Just observing. The news keeps changing every couple of days. Being a black man, my emotions went up and down. I didn’t want to talk to anybody. As an advocate, I felt guilty, not being there to serve my youth because I dedicate my life to fix their problem.

To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to remain consistent. You have to be resilient because you are going to fail. We all fail at one point. But getting back up is what makes you successful. You have to lead with your heart. Help each other out.

What do you want to tell the younger generation?
I know it sounds real cliché,’ but you can literally be anything you want to be. I used to think it’s impossible. You just have to learn the theory. Then, do it. But you have to be consistent.

What would you want the world to know?
Take action. You do have power. You can find a way to make a change. It takes time, but it is beneficial to be in that window, being the resource that changes the future trajectory. We have to be a mentor, a resource. It takes a village. Get involved.
